"TASTY SPONGE CAKE"


This cake is very very simple to make and the igredients are easily available in our homes.Here i'm giving all the measurements in the form of cups n spoons so that u don't have to go for weighing machine.now here we go,
Ingredients:
3 eggs separated to white and yolks
1 cup all purpose flour(maida)
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup melted butter/ghee
1tsp of baking powder
1tsp of vanilla essence
If u want to add some crushed nuts u can go for it otherwise itz a simple sponge cake. I'll give u choconuts cake, creamy cakes, fruit cakes further so don't worry go for this sweet simple cake once :-)
Method:
1.Preheat the oven at 180 degree centigrade for 15 min
2.Mix the egg yolks with half the sugar what we are using until creamy then add vanilla essence also to it.
3.whip the egg white with the remaning sugar and butter until white and frothy.
4.combines yolks and whites but do not over mix.
5.Now pour the flour , baking powder slowly with the seive and complete the batter,sifting makes the cake light and spongy.
6.Mix well and transfer this batter in to the greased oven pan.
7.Put this pan in to the preheated oven and bake for about 35-40 mins.
8.Around 30 min test the cake to see if ready with the help of wooden skewer.cake is ready if skewer is batter free or comes out clean.
9.Cool the cake and now your Sponge cake is and to serve.
